Physics explained
Mechanics, relativity, astronomy, and the physics hiding in plain sight.
Physics for the incurably curious
I’m Dr. John. I teach college physics, make videos, and spend a crazy amount of time checking whether conspiracies survive basic physics.

Watch & explore
I make videos about physics, space, experiments, and scientific claims that need a closer look. We start with the evidence, run the numbers, and see where they lead.
LATEST FROM @DRJOHNDEV
Some questions are serious. Others... not so much. Either way, we show the physics, check the numbers, and see what holds up.

Flat Earth, Moon landing hoaxes, and other conspiracy theories fall apart pretty quick once the numbers show up. Not my opinion, just physics.
Long-form conversations where disagreement is welcome, but “trust me, bro” isn't going to cut it.
Meet Dr. John
I’m John Gruenewald, a college physics professor and the person behind @DrJohnDev.
Before I started teaching, I worked in the aerospace industry on infrared detector technology for space telescopes and defense systems. I bring that hands-on experience to the classroom, YouTube, and live debates.
The goal is simple: show the model, do the math, and give you enough information to check the result yourself.
The community
The Discord is where we keep the conversation going after the stream. We talk physics, math, skepticism, upcoming videos, and whatever strange rabbit hole we find next.
Join the DiscordBe curious, not combative. Disagreement is welcome. Disrespect isn’t.
Critique ideas, not people. Go after the argument, method, and evidence.
Bring receipts. “Trust me, bro” is still not a citation.
Support the channel
Every video takes research, writing, experiments, graphics, and editing. Viewer support gives me the time and tools to dig deeper, build better demonstrations, and keep the finished work open to everyone.
WHERE YOUR SUPPORT GOES
Most videos begin with a simple question and then pursue some seriously unexpected directions in trying to answer it. Contributions cover the research, equipment, software, and production work in between.
Research that goes deeper More time to follow a claim properly and show the full reasoning.
Demonstrations you can see Better equipment, stronger visuals, and more reliable livestreams.
More physics for everyone The main videos stay public and easy to share.
If you have learned something here, enjoyed a stream, or watched a conspiracy fall flat on its flat face, I’d be glad to have you on the team.
